Let us pretend for a moment that I enjoyed giving inanimate objects Shakespearean names. Perhaps I might call my computer MacBeth, or maybe my car would be Puck. Possibly I would go into more detail and the seat in my car would be Juliet, or the four windows: Rosencrantz, Guildenstern, Horatio, and Yorick.
If this was all true, then the post title above would begin to make some sense. For alas poor, poor yorick is dead. Maybe he was comtemplating too much on whether to be or not to be, or more likely (sense he is an inanimate object) the thinking was done by what I can only assume was a crack addict who decided on the “not to be” side an thus ended poor yorick’s time on these earth just before he absconded with my camera and iPod.
You are smart people. I can sense that. And thus you most likely have seen through my thin references. However, in that case that you haven’t, tonight I was robbed through way of shattering my front passenger side window into a billion little pieces. He thing took several items of value, and in an amazing twist (commented on my both of the cops which came to my aid) he (or she, let us being politically correct here) left my entire CD case. I am beginning to think that I have poor task in music since this is the third time I have been robbed only to leave all of my CD’s in place.
At this point I would love to show up a picture of the mess that currently is my passenger seat, but I can’t because HE/SHE STOLE MY CAMERA. Oh well.
Happy Birthday to my momma. Her birthday was a couple of days ago and I tried to call her, but she didn’t answer her phone. It has come to my attention recently that the fastest way to get in contact with some people is to post here. It is amazing how fast information goes from being posted here to being general knowledge.
Well my sister is paying attention at least, maybe even a little too much attention. I believe she posted at 12:01 to say I was late. Well done. Lets just say I was testing you all. She, as is normal, passed with flying colors.
Anyway, yesterday I took advantage of another bonus of digital cable. You better watch out. I love this stuff so much this whole site might end up looking like a cable commerical. I will try to keep things to a minimum. As I was saying. Yesterday, I watched movie-on-demand. It was sort of like the pay-per-view which you are so familar with except it was a don’t-pay-a-dime-per-view kind of thing. What did I partake in? Singing in the Rain! Don’t take the words of thousands of people who have come before me to say this movie is great. Take my word instead. This was the first time I had ever seen this movie, and I really liked it. Unlike a lot of the movie actors today, those people had real, undeniable skill. Watching their dancing for and hour and half, left me doing involuntary (and terribly incorrect) tap moves as I cleaned my apartment. On top of all that, the humor was all clean, and it was just plain good fun. Do yourself a favor and go rent this classic.
Here is what I am thinking. I don’t post enough. So I will make you a deal. I will make sure I post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday if you agree to send me hate mail if I don’t.
By the way, you want to know what’s cool? Cool is buying a CD that is recommended to you and thinking it is not really all that great and then putting it aside only to try it later and totally love it. You want to know what else is cool? Buying a CD you know nothing about and then being about to completely rock out to it the first time through. Music is cool.
