Techno Lovers Rejoice

I was recently shown one of the coolest pieces of electronics that have seen in a long time. What I speak of is a full computer, capable of running WinXP, 20GB hardrive, 256MB RAM, USB, Firewire, etc all in a package only slightly bigger than large PDA. It is really a thing of beauty. It is like 14 ounces. It has a styles that makes this thing act like a tablet PC, as well as having a QWERTY thumb keyboard. Just look at this thing.

a technology find for the weekend

Ok, first of all, I don’t know what browser each of you is using, but I do know you should be using Firefox. Clicking on that link will take you to a page describing all of its wonderful features, so I am not going to go into that here. I will say though that, while I initially thought that a lot of these features (tabs for instance) were not going to be of much use, they have since become absolutley necessary. I can no longer use IE, it is just to frustrating now. Anyway, give it a try. You will thank me for it.

And now for the real part of this post, an extension I found for Firefox that makes working with CSS so much easier. You can get it here. It opens a sidebar that contains the CSS code for the open page in the main browser window. You can then edit that code and it updates in real time. Those of you who have spent hours getting CSS formatting just right will know how useful this is. I like it.

Can you say customize?

Think back with me to the days of yore, back when you weren’t tall enough to get onto rides, when Saturday morning cartoons were the only thing you woke up for, members of the opposite sex definitly had cooties.

Now shift slightly and think about the books you read during that time. There were lots of pictures, large print, and maybe 100 pages, if you were an older kid. There was among this great pieces of literture a particular style which I liked for some time. Yes, what I am talking about is choose your own adventure books, where you decide what happends and how it ends.

This moment of nestalga has been brought to you for this reason. Erelas.com is now kind of like that…but not really. If you search around this page you will find a link to change the whole look of the site. Stuff moves around, colors and pictures change, and you get to decide which one you are going to look at. So have fun, and watch for new styles coming to a theatre near you.
