welcome to the sunshine state
I would like you to take a gander at the image below and then tell me why Florida is called the “Sunshine State”, and for that matter why South Carolina is called the “Palmetto State”
Clearly at some point in time, people because disoriented and started switching state nicknames around. I can step outside of my apt. and see 50 palm trees, where as the sun seems to be lacking for at least a good part of each day.
Speaking of seeing things, yesterday as I sat eating my lunch on the sunny patio outside the cafeteria, I saw a lizard. This is not uncommon. I then noticed another lizard. This is also not uncommon. What is a bit uncommon is that I went on to count over 30 lizards within view before they started moving around and I had to stop. I think there were more. This is a lot of lizards. I felt like I was being overrun. This was especially the case when two came and sat on my bench with me. I did say hello in case you were curious. They didn’t respond however, and so I don’t know if I will be talking to them again.
