at the changing of the guard
It was time for a change, so out with the old and in with the new. “The Old” has served me well. I originally bought it a couple of months before I started college in 2000, and a couple of months after I totaled a car very similar to it which I had had since I learned to drive. At $1000 I didn’t expect it to last terribly long. I just wanted it to make it until I graduated so that I would have an income to pay for a replacement. Well I drove it 50-60k miles during these past 5 years and I guess God heard my small request to my car. Despite its various problems it has continued to run fairly well right up until I drove it home during my last finals week to big up a truck for moving. It never started again without some strong encouragment, and never really ran. It’s work was finish, and it has been sent on to car heaven.
Enter “The New”. It is very pretty. And it has A/C. All is now well in the world.
