The Cost of the Bailout
You want to get an idea of just how much money the government has spent on bailouts in 2008? Take a look at this comparison between the bailout and the total of other large projects. Notice how the other projects which add up to less include all the money NASA has ever spent, The New Deal, and the Louisiana Purchase. It doesn’t say it there, but all of these numbers are adjusted for inflation.
