busy times, they are a happenin’

To say I have been busy, would be an understatement. As I moved to a new project at work, they realized that we really were short 2-3 people from what we should have. To try to make up for it, they authorized us for 20 hours of overtime each week. It is probably important to note, that it would take a large motivation to work 60 hours a week, every week, and since they are not requiring it of anyone, I am not.

I am sure some of you work extremely long hours every week and get along just fine. Maybe I just lack the motivation, maybe it is what I believe to is my latent undiagnosed ADD, but I have a couple times tried to do 12 hours days, and it nearly brought about my untimely demise. Sitting in a cube for 12 straight hours, doing what someone else wants you to do, it not something I was built to do.

Changing subjects slightly. This is one of my long weekends (Fri-Sun) that I get off. This is also my first free weekend (that I out of town, at work, or at the theatre) since November. My plan which developed over the past couple very sunny beautiful weeks, was to spend a couple of days out and about, at the park, and the beach, taking lots and lots of pictures. The last two days have been continuous rain. This is, in fact, the first time it has rained for more than 30 minutes or so that wasn’t caused by a hurricane. Sigh.
